As vessels move towards battery-hybrid and fully electric drivelines, controlling propulsion, typically the largest electrical load on board, becomes central to safe and efficient operation. The Propulsion Control System (PCS) on InteliMains 1010 Marine delivers pre-engineered control for variable frequency drives in both AC-bus and DC-bus variants, so integrators configure parameters rather than write and class-approve bespoke PLC code. Running on the same controller as ComAp's power management, it reads the available power reserve and shapes the speed reference accordingly, so an aggressive throttle demand cannot overload the running sources or trigger a blackout.
