ComAp, the global leader in smart control solutions for power generation and energy management, celebrates its 35th anniversary this year. Founded in 1991 by three friends in Prague, the company has grown from a regional technology start-up into a global company with 600+ employees, 18 subsidiaries, and a network of over 70 distributors serving customers across every continent. The past five years have marked a significant and transformative chapter in ComAp's story, defined by a new generation of products, a bold commitment to sustainability, and a broadening vision of what smart energy control can achieve.

A Decade of Change, Compressed into Five Years
If the 30th anniversary was a moment to celebrate three decades of steady growth, the 35th is a story of acceleration. Between 2021 and 2026, ComAp launched more new products than in any comparable period in its history. The InteliGen 1000 series brought advanced paralleling gen-set control to a new level of sophistication. The InteliNeo platform, encompassing the InteliNeo 6000 and InteliNeo 5500 microgrid controllers and the InteliNeo 530 BESS controller, marked ComAp's decisive move into the hybrid energy and battery energy storage space. The InteliSys 2000 elevated ComAp's expertise in gas and CHP engine applications, while the InteliGen 1000 Marine and InteliDrive 700 Marine also showed ComAp’s increasing commitment to innovations for the maritime sector.

A Global Footprint That Keeps Growing
ComAp's global expansion has continued at pace. Five new subsidiaries opened between 2024 and 2025, in France, Japan, Turkey, Spain, and Sweden, bringing the total to 18. In 2026, ComAp further strengthened its French operations through the acquisition of ARPEE, deepening its engineering capabilities in one of Europe's most dynamic energy markets. With revenue reaching over €100 million for the first time in ComAp’s history in 2025 and more than 98% generated outside the Czech Republic, ComAp is firmly a global company, one that still carries the values and long-term perspective of a family-owned business.

Sustainability and Cybersecurity at the Heart
ComAp has long contributed to the energy transition. Its controllers are at the heart of hybrid microgrids, renewable integration projects, and fuel-flexible generation systems across the world. In 2024, ComAp published its first ESG Report, a formal commitment to transparency around the company's environmental, social, and governance performance. The report marks a milestone in ComAp's efforts to reduce its own carbon footprint while helping customers find more sustainable energy solutions.

Cybersecurity has become an equally central pillar. In 2025, ComAp obtained ISO/IEC 27001 certification for its information security management system, a prestigious certification that demonstrates ComAp's commitment to maintaining the highest information security and data protection standards.

Supporting Critical Power Supply for Datacentres
One key segment that has experienced the greatest growth, and for which cybersecurity plays a crucial role, is datacentres, driven by the enormous power demand for artificial intelligence. ComAp is ready to support effective and secure energy for these critical applications, supported by the latest cybersecurity certifications and new product feature development, such as Ring Topology or readiness for 800 VDC power implementation.
